Every Castle Arts Color Pencil set comes with a 28 page guide to using watercolor pencils. The guide teaches you how to take care of your pencils, from sharpening methods to holding your pencil to achieve different styles and effects. It explains the watercolor pencil range, light and form, pencil pressures and strokes, blending, layering and texturing techniques as well as more tutorials, a glossary and details about joining the Castle Club.

Our 120 artist's grade watercolor pencils can be used dry like a traditional colored pencil, or add water to create endless magical effects. They are protected in a smart carry-case with a strikingly illustrated zipper sleeve, and all pencils are organised into flip-over sleeves. Each zipper comes with three 20 sheet A5 pads so you can begin your artistic journey straightaway. Every pencil is branded with the Castle Arts logo, named and numbered for easy selection and reference.

The intense pigments dissolve in water - on the brush or the paper – so your pencil strokes melt and blend beautifully to create amazing effects… your drawing magically morphs into a painting.
